From A $22 Neutrogena Moisturizer To La Prairie's $475 Eye Cream

AmorePacific's Time Response Eye Renewal Creme, too, the gold winner in the eye cream category, rings in at $260, making it a pricey purchase. The NO-KNIFE nose job: the revolutionary procedure that smooths out bumps - without surgery Regardless of price, all products proved their worth in a gamut of tests and before-and-after evaluations. To determine the winners, 349 products were screened and 84 were tested on 997 volunteers. 3,630 before-and-after photos were taken, and 1,974 questionnaires were tallied. Investment purchases: La Prairie's Cellular Power Charge Night (left) may be beyond many readers' budgets at $475, while AmorePacific's Time Response Eye Renewal Creme (right), rings in at $260 The team also used state-of-the-art equipment in its analysis, including a Cutometer, which measures skins firmness, a Corneometer to analyze hydration and a Visia Skin Complexion Analyzer, which quantifies wrinkles, spots, and skin texture. 'Anti-aging claims are everywhere - in fact, since our last anti-aging skin-care awards three years ago, well over 300 products have launched' Explaining the in-depth research, Rosemary Ellis, editor-in-chief of Good Housekeeping said that more products than ever are boasting anti-aging claims. Anti-Aging Creams: What Really Works?

Once you have narrowed down which ingredients may be best for you, look for a face cream that also contains sunscreen, to help prevent further aging. Sun exposure is the major cause of premature skin aging. Sifting Through Dubious Product Claims When considering an anti-aging cream purchase, proceed with caution. Keep these tips in mind as you read product labels: While the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulates medications and prescription cosmetic products, the regulation of nonprescription face creams and other cosmetic products is less stringent. Manufacturers of cosmetics are not required to prove the safety or effectiveness of their products before they go public. If an anti-aging cream label says that it can reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, or age spots, these claims do not have to be substantiated by clinical evidence. Although you cant always trust the claims made on anti-aging cream labels, you can trust the ingredients list. <br>visit http://www.everydayhealth.com/skin-and-beauty/aging-skin/anti-aging-creams.aspx

This may sound wonderful, but skin has its own natural oils that are essential to its health. By constantly stripping your skin of these oils, your skin will feel dry even with moisturizer. You may also experience more breakouts because of this. <br>visit http://www.examiner.com/article/facial-toner-skincare-regimen

Strain into a sterilized bottle. The above recipe can also be tried with 1oz. of dried or fresh elderflowers, which have been used to freshen dry skin since at least the 17th century. They act as a mild astringent, but do not dry out the epidermis due to their 66% concentration of fatty acids. Never use elderflower leaves, which are quite toxic, in any skincare preparation (they make an excellent insecticide, however). Homemade Skin Toners from Indonesia These are only appropriate for dry skin that is not blemish-prone: Blend one small cucumber for about 30 seconds. https://twitter.com/ Is Argan Oil Miraculous?

It is high in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, it is believed to help all sorts of skin conditions : dry skin, acne, psoriasis, eczema, wrinkles. In a New York Times article, Liz Earle, who runs an organic skin-care line in England, said, When I first found argan oil, I brought it back to the U.K. to have it analyzed it was so remarkably high in vitamin E and had these very interesting phytosterols, which are good for scar tissue and so many other things including, she says, that hard-to-define problem of lackluster skin. I know weve heard these claims before, but still. Argan oil is pretty new in America, but English and French tourists discovered it in Morocco years ago and its all over the markets of Provence, along with the lavender and olive oils . Now, due to the efforts of the Moroccan King Mohammed VI, who has been praised for his efforts to promote womens rights, the oil is being promoted and exported worldwide. <br>visit http://www.care2.com/greenliving/is-argan-oil-miraculous.html

China Considers End To Mandatory Animal Testing On Cosmetics

The proposal covers products made in China, but not imported products Campaign group said change came quicker than expected But does not expect wholesale end to animal testing of cosmetics in China Hong Kong (CNN) -- Cosmetic companies and animal rights groups have welcomed a proposal by China to allow sales of some cosmetics without requiring them to be tested on animals. Animal testing would no longer be mandatory for "non-specialized cosmetics", including shampoo, soaps and certain skin products manufactured in China from June next year, according to a document posted on the website of the China Food and Drug Administration earlier this month. Beauty companies have long faced an ugly dilemma in China. Local laws and regulations require animal testing for cosmetic products sold in the country, which has made the lucrative market a tricky area for brands that want to sell in China without alienating consumers in other places that frown upon animal testing. State's new problem: Stoned dogs Was Westminster dog poisoned? "Non-specialized cosmetics produced in China could avoid toxicological testing after going through risk and safety checks," the China Food and Drug Administration said. Imported cosmetics are not covered in the proposal. But the document indicated that China would gradually ease regulations on animal testing, which would allow more international firms opposed to animal testing to enter China's 134 billion yuan ($22 billion) cosmetics market. <br>visit http://www.cnn.com/2013/11/15/world/asia/china-cosmetics-testing/index.html
