Mintel Looks Ahead In Beauty, Highlights Its Mixologiste Trend F

This will add a new sense of excitement to the market and will drive innovation in the year ahead. Mintels exclusive consumer research highlights the popularity of multifunctional makeup in the U.S., with as many as 70% of U.S. female consumers expressing an interest in multifunctional lip products, and 65% showing interest in multifunctional facial coverage products, for example those which combine the benefits of foundation and concealer. And while saving time and cost are highlighted as the benefits of these products, the research shows how time-poor U.S. consumers perceive time saving (68%) to be a greater benefit than reduced costs (63%). In China, almost half (46%) of Chinese makeup users express an interest in trying new products with multifunctionality (such as 2-in-1 eye shadow and blusher), while almost one in three (29%) agree that multifunctional products (e.g., BB cream) perform as well as products designed for single purpose. Around four in ten (37%) say they like products that have cosmetic benefits as well as care for their skin. Reduced cost is seen to be a benefit for a third (34%) of Chinese consumers who say that buying multifunctional products is more economical than buying products separately. But while multifunctionality is popular in the U.S. and China, it is not yet as popular in the U.K., where just a quarter (25%) of women say they are interested in products which have cosmetic benefits as as well as care for the skin, such as BB cream and tinted lip balm. <br>visit http://www.skininc.com/spabusiness/trends/Mintel-Looks-Ahead-in-Beauty-Highlights-Its-Mixologiste-Trend-for-2014-235246021.html

Five Best anti-aging serums of 2011

For me, Lift & Fix has been great at refining the complexion by dealing with broken veins and rough red patches of skin. The active ingredient is a fish plasma protein that is a kind of natural anti-freeze that prevents cell death. The rest of the Lift & Fix formula is interesting as well. A dominant ingredient is the amino acid methylsilanol hydroxyproline aspartate and is a protein that controls the elasticity of connective tissue fibers. <br>visit http://www.truthinaging.com/review/five-best-anti-aging-serums-of-2011

In addition to its anti-aging uses, this serum can be used as a light moisturizer, eye cream, and a makeup primer. To use it as a makeup primer, apply it on top of your day time moisturizer and under your foundation. Cellex-C Serum for Sensitive Skin ($90/1 ounce) This fragrance-free serum is unusual in that instead of being a cocktail of skin-supporting ingredients, it is mostly stabilized Vitamin C, which is a potent antioxidant. Vitamin C also reduces skin discolorations -- definitely something to look into if you have age spots. MD Skincare Hydra-Pure Antioxidant Firming Serum ($95 for 1 ounce) This serum has more of a lotion texture, and contains lactic acid, water binding agents, antioxidants, retinol, and cell-communicating ingredients. If you think your skin care regimen needs a boost, I strongly recommend you use a serum to deliver the highest possible concentration of skin helpers to your complexion. And even though serums can be expensive, they're tough act to follow. <br>visit http://www.blogher.com/antiaging-serums-which-one-should-you-use

Anti-Aging Serums: Which One Should You Use?

While many claim to be the best anti aging serum, what makes LivingPower's product unique from all others is the presence of Matrixyl. This is the primary ingredient responsible for stimulating collagen synthesis and skin repair. Through a simple application of the serum on the face, neck, or body, therefore, the gel is able to be absorbed by the skin, which in turn facilitates the restoration process. Other anti aging serums may also be limited as to its functionalities, but the Matrixyl Serum expands its own, and is not only able to news heal, but also prevent further damage on the skin. This is through the presence of a patented pentapeptide ingredient, making it a perfect anti aging night cream or anti aging hand cream. Said Media Manager Keith Wood, "We wanted to be able to provide proper information to our consumers as to what our product can actually do. This video shows how easy it is to use the matrixyl anti aging serum , but more importantly than that, the effective benefits one can easily derive from it." From wrinkles to age spots, uneven skin tones and roughness, the Anti Aging Matrixyl Serum is able to address all of these in one simple application. Is Your Skin Freaking Out After Thanksgiving? Fix It, Fast

Sugar, pollution, hormones – skin spoilers to watch out for!

A few days into my vacation, and it was a little dryer, a little duller, and prone to breakouts. And now that I'm back home in New York City, it hasn't miraculously improved like I'd really, really been hoping it would. "That's common around the holidays," says Francesca Fusco, a dermatologist in New York City. And it's common for a lot of reasons. "Flying, drinking alcohol, eating salty and sugary foods, and even washing your face with hard tap water can make your skin dryer and inflamed, which means it's also more prone to breakouts," she explains. "And dry skin looks generally older, because it gets duller and fine lines become more noticeable." Yikes. <br>visit http://shine.yahoo.com/shine-beauty/skin-freaking-thanksgiving-fix-fast-170200574.html

Oestrogen influences skin thickness, wrinkling and moisture. When there is a drop in oestrogen levels, the production of new skin cells slows down, resulting in a thinning of the skin layers.
